Books: reading plan for January
Well.
The middle of January is the perfect time to share what I plan to read this month.
But first things first, my reading plans for this whole year.
The bar is pretty low for me: I want to read at least 12 books, one book each month. Should be doable even if I become very lazy (and at some point I definitely will do that).
To track my progress, I use the StoryGraph app. It’s pretty simple, slick, and gives you a ton of features for free (but I strongly recommend subscribing to support independent developers).
Now, at last, to the main topic!
For January, I plan to read two books: A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki (I've already read more than half and really love it!) and Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro (well, technically it will be a re-read, but I adore this book).
So far, it seems like a reasonable plan for January. I want to slow and steady return to a more regular reading pace, not in terms of “read as much as possible” but “read at least a couple of pages every day”.
And I’m finding that emotional and more slow-paced books do wonders for me in that regard.
I don't have a list of books for the whole year yet, but I’m working on it.
Will share my thoughts on what I want to read in February/March as soon as I have them:)
And, of course, I will share my thoughts on each book I’ve read separately. Let’s pretend it is my reading journal, OK?
